On Wednesday, 03 December 2014, members of the Bethlehem Police Department’s Vice and Street Crimes Units arrested a Ralph Carpentier (age 28) of the 500 Block of Carlton Avenue on drug related charges. Police received information that Carpentier was selling marijuana and prescription medication and an investigation was initiated. Detectives from the Vice Unit conducted surveillance of Carpentier and witnessed several drug transactions. Yesterday at approximately 1:30 pm, Carpentier was taken into custody in the 500 Block of Hess Street. A search of Carpentier’s residence was conducted and police located 26 bags of marijuana of various sizes and weights, 55 alprazolam pills, 9 oxycodone pills, a scale, packaging material and 795 dollars in cash. Carpentier was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, possession of illegal prescription medication, possession with the intent to deliver prescription medication and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carpentier was arraigned before Northampton County District Justice Nancy Matos-Gonzalez and bail set at 40,000 dollars. Carpentier was committed to the Northampton County Prison.
