On August 13, 2014, at approximately 6:30pm, the Bethlehem Police Department’s Vice Unit, Street Crimes Unit and Bethlehem Housing Authority Unit served a search warrant at 1307 East Fourth Street, second floor apartment, the home of an Alexander Acevedo (age 36).
This search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into heroin dealing in the City of Bethlehem. A search was conducted of 1307 East Fourth Street, second floor, and police located the following items. Seven and a half bundles of heroin (75 bags) worth a street value of 750 dollars, 275 dollars, a scale and packaging material. Acevedo was charged with possession and possession with the intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Acevedo was arraigned in front of Northampton County on-duty District Justice Jackie Taschner and bail was set at 500,000 dollars. Acevedo was committed to Northampton County Prison.
