On Friday, 11 July 2014, at approximately 0608 hours, members of the Bethlehem Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, Vice Unit and Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant at 715 East Morton Street.
The search warrant was the result of an investigation into drug dealing and other criminal activity in and around the Yosko Park area. Yosko Park is a popular summer time destination spot for teenagers and young children and is located just one block away from the 700 Block of East Morton Street. Seized as a result of the search warrant were seven grams of crack cocaine, four handguns, 5,800 dollars, a digital scale and packaging materials.
Arrested in the residence were Rowan “Gorilla” Sinclar (age 24) and Akeem “Jamaica” Scott (age 24), both of 715 East Morton Street. Sinclar and Scott were charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, criminal conspiracy to possess with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Both actors were arraigned before District Justice Elizabeth Romig and bail set at 75,000 dollars each. Both were committed to Northampton County Prison.
