On 18 April 2014 at approximately 0800 hours, members of the Bethlehem Police Emergency Response Team served a search warrant at 1120 Fritz Drive in the City of Bethlehem.
The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into heroin dealing in the City of Bethlehem being conducted by members of the Bethlehem Police Vice Unit and Street Crimes Unit. Located inside 1120 Fritz Drive were an Andre Carrasquillo Jr (age 35), an Erica Rivera (age 36) and five children ranging in age from 10 to 16.
A search of the residence revealed a total of 93 bags of heroin, 27 grams of loose heroin, 4 bags of cocaine, 10 grams of loose cocaine, a scale and packaging materials and 4,800 dollars in cash. The total value of the heroin was estimated at 14,000 dollars and the total value of cocaine was estimated at 800 dollars.
Carrasquillo was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver heroin, possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, criminal use of communications and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carrasquillo was arraigned before on duty Northampton County District Justice Hawke and bail set at 50,000 dollars. Carrasquillo was unable to make bail and was committed to Northampton County Prison. Rivera was also arrested and charges are pending as the investigation is continuing.
