Forensic Symposium

BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA

The Bethlehem Police Department is proud to announce that Sergeant Michelle Kott has been selected to participate in the Best Practices in Training for Forensic Science Symposium to be held March 11-13 at West Virginia University.

The Symposium will focus on what is needed to train newly hired personnel in forensic science while maintaining cost-effectiveness.  Attendees were chosen following a competitive process that evaluated their education, training, and professional responsibilities, and include laboratory directors and staff, training coordinators, law enforcement supervisors, and educators.

Sgt. Kott has been serving with the Department since 2004, was promoted to Sergeant in March 2013, and became the Forensic Services Unit Supervisor in September 2013.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from DeSales University, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University.
