Suspicious Phone Calls

BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA

 

The City of Bethlehem Police Department has received reports of suspicious phone calls being recieved by city residents.  The reporting party stated they received a phone call from an individual stating they needed to perform a fire inspection on the complainant’s home.  The City of Bethlehem Fire Department has received numerous calls from citizens regarding this same phone solicitation.  The Fire Department told us they do not perform residential fire inspections.

If you ever have any doubts or concerns about someone trying to access your property who is claiming to be with any Department of the City of Bethlehem you can call the Police Non-Emergency number 610-865-7187 to report and/or confirm the work.

    I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.
